Child & Educational Psychology

Carefully considered

Deeply human

Solari is where compassionate care turns insight into practical support for children and families. Like light in the dark, we illuminate a way forward, bringing clarity, compassion and practical strategies to help children and families thrive.

Our Approach

At Solari Child & Educational Psychology, we offer a thoughtful, personalized approach to understanding and supporting children’s learning, behavior and emotional wellbeing.

Our work blends scientific knowledge with real-world experience of schools and families. We take time to truly understand each child, their strengths, differences and needs whilst providing clear, practical guidance that feels meaningful and manageable for parents.

This is a space for clarity, collaboration and confidence for children and the adults who care for them.

Our process is simple and thoughtful, providing real-world understanding and practical application.

At Solari Child & Educational Psychology, we bring together expertise and experience in child development, psychology, education and organisational/systems change to support children and families across Austin and the surrounding communities. We don’t just treat symptoms, but consider the whole context: the child, their family, and the school and home environments they move through every day.

We aim to deliver:

  • Assessments, recommendations, and post-assessment consultations that are clinically rigorous, usable in real school and home settings, and respectful of each child’s unique profile and family life.

  • Individualized therapeutic interventions and consultations grounded in the same strengths-based framework tailored to each child’s and family’s needs.

  • Collaborative consultation between home and school to problem solve and create plans that work for the child.

  • Advocacy support so we can walk alongside you throughout the journey.

This a reflection of what we believe in. We’re here to walk alongside children, youth and families to create better futures - led by a shared commitment to quality and care.

  • We do not take insurance directly, but we can be considered an “out of network” provider and provide the necessary codes and clinical information necessary (known as a Superbill) for your own filing/reimbursement claims. It is your responsibility to check in with your insurance plan and see how much is covered for out of network claims. Your insurance company will not likely reimburse you for the full cost of services, but rather a set portion.

This approach allows us to follow evidence-based practices and make clinical decisions based solely on what’s best for your child, rather than on insurance limitations.

We understand that cost is a real concern; if finances are a barrier, please let us know, we’ll work with you to discuss sliding-scale options, payment plans, or other supports to help you access the care you need.

  • At Solari:

    • We do not currently offer testing for forensic or court-related purposes.

    • We do not conduct assessments for children in situations where one parent does not want their child to receive the testing.

  • You can reach us anytime via our email at hello@solarichildpsychology.com

We aim to respond quickly, usually within two business days.
